Carol Peregoy
I live near Steamboat Springs, Colorado with my husband, Dave, and together we enjoy skiing, backpacking, hiking, scuba diving, and traveling. I hope you enjoy these images and that they inspire you to get out in nature and away from your computer! My favorite season is fall! Every year I travel around Colorado looking for new and interesting ways to photograph its beauty. From the Flat Tops in northern Colorado to the San Juans in the southwest I am always finding new and exciting locations.
The images you are viewing were originally recorded with Pentax cameras and lenses on either 35mm film or digital capture. In 2017, I converted to the Nikon D810 and Nikon lenses. Images captured on film were scanned to transform them to digital files. All images were then optimized to match the original scene as it appeared to my eye at the time of capture. My final prints are as close as possible to the original negative, slide, or digital file.
The only filters I occasionally use are a polarizer and a graduated ND filter to compensate for the camera's inability to capture the same range of light levels that the human eye can see.
The images on this website are greatly reduced in quality for quicker downloads to slower web browsers and are not as sharp and brilliant in color as the actual prints.
